What is Remy Williams & Co?
Remy Williams & Co is a peer support service built by Jeremy — someone with lived experience of alcohol use and recovery. It’s not a clinical service or a helpline. It’s a real conversation with someone who’s been through it, designed to help you on the days in between the bigger stuff.
Is this a crisis service?
No. If you are in crisis right now, please call Lifeline on 13 11 14 or text 0477 13 11 14. They are available 24/7. Remy Williams & Co is a peer support tool — not a substitute for emergency or clinical care.
Who is Jeremy?
Jeremy is the founder of Remy Williams & Co. He has lived experience of alcohol use disorder and has been in recovery for several years. He built this because he wished something like it had existed when he needed it most. He is not a registered therapist or counsellor.
What does a session actually look like?
It’s a real conversation — not a script, not a checklist. You talk, Jeremy listens. Sessions are held via video or phone, last around 60 minutes, and are completely non-judgmental. You don’t need to have it figured out before you show up.
How is this different from therapy?
Therapy is delivered by a registered clinician and is a clinical service. What we offer is peer support — lived experience shared person to person. Both have value, and they work well alongside each other. We’re not a replacement for therapy; we’re a complement to it.
Is my information kept private?
Yes. What you share stays between you and Jeremy. We don’t share your information with third parties. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
What if I can’t afford it?
The reach-out is always free — no commitment, no cost. If cost is a barrier to going further, reach out anyway and we’ll figure something out. Nobody gets turned away because of money.
Do I need to be sober to join?
No. You can be anywhere in your journey — thinking about making a change, in the middle of one, or just having a hard week. You don’t need to meet any threshold to be here.
